The following are some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to help you troubleshoot any technical issues you may experience on the Cancer Council Victoria (CCV) Learning Hub.

How do I create a new account?
- Select ‘Login’ on the top right corner of any page on the Learning Hub https://learning.cancervic.org.au
- Select the ‘Create a new account’ button below the login fields.
- Complete all required fields and then select the ‘Create my new account’ button at the end of the form.
- You will see a message that confirms an email has been sent to the address you provided. Note: You must confirm your account via this email to login
What should I do if I didn’t receive my account confirmation email?
If you haven’t received your confirmation email:
- Check your spam or junk email folder
- Make sure you entered the correct email address
- Wait a few minutes, as emails can be delayed.
If you still haven’t received the email, please contact support for assistance.
How can I reset my password?
To reset your password:
- Select the ‘Login’ button at the top of the page
- Select the ‘Forgotten your username or password?’ button on the login page
- Enter the email address used to create your account
- Follow the instructions sent to your email.
If you don’t receive this email, please contact support for assistance.
How do I login to the CCV LMS and access courses?
To login and access a course:
- Select the ‘Login’ button at the top of the page
- Enter your username and password
- Navigate to and select 'View' to see more information about the course you wish to access.
- If you wish to access the course select the Login or register for online training button.

Some content in our courses open in pop-up windows. To ensure that you can access this content, please check that pop-up blockers are turned off in your browser or toolbar. For best results, we recommend using the following settings:
- Browser: Google Chrome
- Pop-ups: Enabled
- Cookies: Enabled
- Select the 3-dots menu in the top right of the browser
- Select ‘Settings’
- Scroll down and select ‘Privacy and security’
- Select ‘Site settings’
- Under ‘Content’, select ‘Pop-ups and redirects’
- To allow pop-ups, change the setting to ‘Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects’
- Select the 3-lines menu (hamburger icon) in the top right
- Select ‘Settings’ (this may be ‘Options’, depending on your version of Firefox)
- Select ‘Privacy & Security’ from the menu on the left
- Scroll down to the ‘Permissions’ section.
- Select the Exceptions... button, type or paste https://learning.cancervic.org.au and select Allow
- Select the 3-dots ... menu in the top right of the browser
- Select ‘Settings’ and navigate to 'Privacy, search, and services'
- Navigate to 'Site permission', and then All permissions'
- Select 'Pop-ups and redirects' and go to 'Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects'
- Under ‘Pop-up Blocker’, ensure ‘Turn on Pop-up Blocker’ is unchecked
- Select Add site and type in the URL that you want to allow to create pop-ups into the dialog box (starting with the https:// portion at the beginning) and select 'Add'. The URL should now appear in your Allow list.
- Select ‘Safari’ in the top left menu bar
- Select ‘Preferences’
- Navigate to the Websites Tab
- In the left sidebar, select ‘Pop-up Windows’
- To allow pop-ups for all sites, use the drop-down in the bottom right (‘When visiting other websites’) and select ‘Allow’ or to allow this site, locate it in the list and set its dropdown to Allow.
How can I manage security alerts in my web browser?
Some users may experience a problem with pop-ups and/or security alerts when trying to access content in some of our courses.
In Internet Explorer
If you’re using Internet Explorer to access your online modules, you may see a pop-up message each time you select a link. It will say:
“This page contains both secure and non-secure items. Do you want to display the non-secure items?”
To stop this message appearing:
- Navigate to Internet Explorer
- Select ‘Tools’ and then select ‘Internet Options’
- Navigate to the Security Tab
- Select ‘Custom Level’
- Scroll down to the ‘Miscellaneous’ section
- Change the ‘Display Mixed Content’ setting to ‘Enable’
- Select ‘Ok’
