Talking to Community About Breast Screening
This course will inform you about breast screening, how to effectively communicate the importance of screening for breast cancer and how community members can access breast cancer screening.
It will provide you with the tools, skills and resources to help Community, family members and Elders who are aged 40+ and eligible to screen, access breast screening and keep Mob safe.
Course Duration:
This course has been designed so you can complete it at your own pace.
It is estimated that this course will take you around 30 minutes per module to complete.
You will have 60 days from the day you register (your start date) to complete the course. An email will be sent to you 7 days before the the end of your enrolment duration reminding you to complete any outstanding activities and download any materials you may wish to save and access your certificate. If after the 60 days, you have not completed the course, you will be unenrolled and the course content will no longer be available.

By the end of this module you should have:
- Increased knowledge of breast cancer and breast health.
- Increased confidence to discuss the BreastScreen Victoria program and eligibility.
- Increased confidence to discuss what happens during a breast screen.
- Knowledge of where to find information about the BreastScreen Victoria Program.
- Access to resources to help promote breast screening within the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
