This training will equip you with the knowledge, skills and resources to support Community members to access cervical screening. You’ll learn how to communicate the importance of cervical screening and help keep family members, Elders and Mob safe.
This training was developed in collaboration with Cancer Council Victoria and VACCHO.

Duration
This training will take around 30 minutes to complete and can be completed at your own pace.
Access
You will have 60 days from the day you register to complete the training.
We’ll send you an email 7 days before your enrolment ends to remind you to complete any outstanding activities and download anything you’d like to keep, including your certificate.
If you haven’t completed the training within 60 days, you will be unenrolled and will no longer be able to access the training content. Please contact the Learning Hub team at learning@cancervic.org.au if you would like to extend your enrolment.
Learning Outcomes
After completing this training, you will have:
- increased knowledge of cervical cancer
- increased confidence discussing cervical cancer screening
- knowledge of the importance of HPV vaccination and its link to cervical cancer
- knowledge of where to find information about the National Cervical Screening Program and relevant resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients
- knowledge of how to access Cancer Council Victoria’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resources, along with information about the Cancer Council Victoria information and support line (13 11 20)
- increased confidence directing people who receive a cervical cancer screening results that are positive to follow up testing with a GP or nurse
- access to resources to help promote cervical screening within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
