This course was developed in collaboration with Cancer Council Victoria and VACCHO, and equips you with the knowledge, skills, and resources to support Community members in accessing Cervical Screening. You'll learn how to effectively communicate its importance and keep family members, Elders, and Mob safe.
Course Duration:
This course has been designed so you can complete it at your own pace.
It is estimated that this course will take you around 30 minutes to complete.
You will have 60 days from the day you register (your start date) to complete the course. An email will be sent to you 7 days before the end of your enrolment duration reminding you to complete any outstanding activities and download any materials you may wish to save and access your certificate. If after the 60 days you have not completed the course, you will be unenrolled and the course content will no longer be available.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this module you should have:
- Increased knowledge of cervical cancer.
- Increased confidence to discuss cervical cancer screening.
- Knowledge of the importance of HPV vaccination and its link to cervical cancer.
- Knowledge of where to find information about the National Cervical Screening Program and relevant resources for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Knowledge of how to access Cancer Council Victoria Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander resources along with information about the Cancer Council Victoria information and support line (13 11 20).
- Increased confidence to direct people who receive a cervical cancer screening result that is positive to follow up testing with a GP or nurse.
- Access to resources to help promote cervical screening within the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
