By the end of this training, you will understand how to:

  • Identify the purpose of the Chart of Accounts (COA), COA segments and explain how they work together to support accurate reporting.
  • Apply the correct Unit, Project, Funding, and Natural codes by referencing the Active Project Combinations Spreadsheet.
  • Analyse transaction reports to confirm spending, coding accuracy, and alignment with project activity.
  • Use key finance tools; such as scheduled reports and the General Journal Form, to complete routine financial tasks accurately.
  • Follow simple best practices to avoid errors, delays, and incorrect coding, and know where to find the latest templates and support when guidance is needed.
